“Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blueprint and begin to build”
-Robert Collier
You’ve most likely heard the old saying, “the body won’t go where the mind has not gone first”. Our subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between reality and what we imagine. So, by placing realistic images before your subconscious mind it will believe that’s the way things should be, then figure out ways to manifest that into your life.
When you use visualization meditation, you’ll experience the feelings associated with achieving a future goal. Your subconscious mind will use the imagery as a map to keep you on track, pushing you closer towards manifesting that mental picture.
The best way to practice visualization is through meditation which sharpens your focus through mental exercise, such as controlled breathing or repeating a mantra. Meditation is a practice of calm reflection that primes your mind to receive your visual imagery.
The Visual Imagery Meditation Method
Visual imagery meditation involves imagining a scenario in your mind and picturing yourself being there, living the moment. To build the most realistic image possible and get the best results from this practice, you need to engage each of your senses — touch, sight, smell, taste, and sound.
Incorporating visual imagery into your daily routine will make the law of attraction much more powerful for you. This keeps your vision at the forefront of your mind and helps you stay focused when you need it the most.
Here are some steps you can follow:

Step 1: Knowing Exactly What You Want
To make your visualization practice work, you must be crystal clear with what you want in your life. If you’re not sure, you need to spend some quiet time contemplating the answer. Also, ask yourself why do you want it?
If you want is a house on the beach, being crystal clear means deciding how big the house should be, how many bedrooms? Is there a large garage? How is the view from the backyard? Do you have a garden? Be as specific as you can so your vision becomes a realistic target in your mind, and not a vague dream.
Step 2: Preparing Yourself For Meditation
When you know what you want, it’s time to start your manifestation journey. Spending the time preparing for your meditation session will deepen your experience.
It’s possible to meditate during any time of the day. But we have found the ideal time to meditate is on an empty stomach (or near-empty stomach) right before breakfast or right before dinner.
You can follow our relaxation meditation technique to enter a fully relaxed state, then jump to Step 4. Alternatively, to relax you can use Step 3 below...
Step 3: Your Meditation Journey
Find a quiet and comfortable place with no interruptions for the next 15 minutes. Wear comfortable clothing.
Sit or lie down, make yourself comfortable, and relax your posture. Allow your thoughts to settle.
Now close your eyes and take in a deep breath. As you breathe in, allow your abdomen to expand outward.
As you exhale, allow your stomach to sink while keeping your chest still.
Keep breathing in and out with deep breaths a few more times.
When you are feeling relaxed, and your mind is calm, continue breathing as normal.
Step 4: Your Visualization Session
Now imagine yourself taking a journey into your future. Picture your future self as if you are there living the moment, your dream has become a reality… For instance,
Visualize yourself living your dream. Bring the colors, textures, smell, and any other qualities that you can to make your imaginary world as realistic as possible.
Continue spending ten minutes imagining your future life and enjoying the moment.
Step 5: Ending Your Meditation Session
When you sense the time is right, tell yourself that you’re ending your meditation soon. Don’t hurry out of your practice, because coming out too fast can ruin a good meditation session. Take a few minutes to transition from a meditative state to a waking state.
Now shift your focus outward. Become conscious of your surroundings. Move your upper body in slow and gentle movements — head, neck, shoulders… Now open your eyes.
For the best results you should make visual imagery a daily part of your life. It’s important that you maintain your ritual of practicing this exercise until you have achieved what you most desire.
Wrap Up
Although visual imagery is a powerful manifestation tool, it can take a long time before you see results. If you have a sense that you’re not making any progress, don’t lose patience. Instead, stick to your practice and in time you’ll experience dramatic changes in your real world as your imagination takes on its material form.
